Ledge Leadership is receiving your financial gifts for Beyond High School. However, if this project becomes fully funded, the Board of Directors reserves the right to apply funds raised over and above the project to other program expenses in fulfilment of the charitable objects of Ledge Leadership.
Beyond High School is a program designed to help young adults confidently navigate the transition from high school to university, college, the trades, or the workforce. Through a series of empowering conversations, they'll connect with peers in a safe, supportive space while gaining real-life skills and practical tools.
Whether a student is unsure about what’s next or simply want to feel more prepared, this experience will help them lower stress, build confidence, and develop a mindset ready for the future.
WHY WE CREATED BEYOND HIGH SCHOOL
The transition from high school can be overwhelming. Many students face this major life change, whether heading to college, university, or work, without the support systems they’re used to.
Young people are expected to function independently right after graduation, but many feel unprepared. This can lead to higher stress and challenges to their mental, emotional, and physical health, especially when combined with academic or workplace demands.
While post-secondary schools offer support, students often don’t access these resources in the middle of transition. And those entering the workforce right away may not have access at all.
That’s why we created Beyond High School.
This program gives youth a chance to connect, build life skills, and talk openly about their hopes and fears, all while they’re still surrounded by familiar school, family, and community supports. It’s a safe space to prepare for what’s next.
Participants will engage in interactive conversations, and walk away with tools, strategies, and a certificate of completion, feeling more confident and supported as they step into their next chapter.
